Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use focarakitchen.com, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

The standard we follow

This website is built and checked against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard that accessibility rules in the United States and Europe refer to. As of our last review on September 27, 2026, the site conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. It also meets the WCAG 2.2 criteria for keeping keyboard focus in view and for the size of touch targets.

How we check

• Every page of the site, including the tutorial in all 34 languages and the pages for shared recipes, at desktop and phone screen sizes.
• Automated testing with axe-core, plus hands-on checks: keyboard-only use, visible focus, reflow on a 320-pixel-wide screen, increased text spacing, and every menu, pop-up and consent choice.

We check again whenever the site changes, and at least every three months.

What you can rely on

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, starting with a “Skip to main content” link.
• Text and controls meet the WCAG contrast minimums, and keyboard focus is always visible.
• Pages reflow to one column on narrow screens and at high zoom, with no sideways scrolling.
• Animation is reduced when your device asks for less motion.
• The tutorial is written in 34 languages, and every page tells screen readers which language it is in.

Known limitations

• The tutorial’s screenshots show the app in English, and their descriptions are in English on every language version. They are marked as English so that screen readers use an English voice for them.
• Pages this site links to, such as the App Store, Google Play and our social media, are run by others and aren’t covered by this statement.
