Delete your Focara Kitchen account

This page explains how to delete your Focara Kitchen account and the data associated with it — either from inside the app, or by request if you no longer have the app installed.

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.

  1. Open Focara Kitchen and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Go to the Me tab and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to the account rows — just under “Signed in as” — and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. Your account and everything listed below are removed right away.

The same steps work on both iPhone and Android.

Request deletion without the app

If you've already uninstalled Focara Kitchen, or can't sign in, send us the request and we'll do it for you.

Open the deletion request form

In the message, please include:

  • the words “Focara Kitchen account deletion”; and
  • the email address you used to sign up — that's the only thing we need to find the account.

We'll delete the account and reply to confirm, normally within a few days and no later than 30 days.

We confirm every request before acting on it. We reply to the email address on the account and wait for you to confirm from that address, so nobody can have someone else's account deleted. If you'd rather not wait, the in-app route above is instant — you're already signed in, so no confirmation is needed. We only use what you send to verify the request and confirm the deletion, and we don't add you to anything.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account is immediate and permanent. It removes:

  • your login and your profile (name and email);
  • your connections and invitations;
  • the recipes you shared and the ones shared with you, on our servers; and
  • the web share links you created — those pages stop working.

We keep no copy of any of it afterwards. Residual copies may persist briefly in our hosting provider's routine backups before being overwritten.

What deletion does not reach

Your recipe box on your own device Focara Kitchen stores your recipes, versions, photos, cooking journal, shopping list, meal plans, and timers locally on your phone — they are never uploaded to us. Deleting your account doesn't touch them, because we can't. To remove them, delete the app (and use Settings → Export My Recipes first if you want to keep a copy).
Copies other people already saved If someone saved a recipe you shared with them, it now lives on their device and is theirs. Deleting your account cannot reach it.
An invitation someone sent to your email That record belongs to their account, not yours, so it isn't removed with yours. Ask them to remove it, or write to us.

You don't need an account at all

Signing in is optional in Focara Kitchen. Saving recipes, scanning, cooking, planning meals, and the shopping list all work without one — an account only exists to share recipes with the people you choose. If you'd rather not have an account, deleting it leaves the rest of the app working exactly as before.
